Meet the Founder

Marinez Alvarado Rosales is a Wine Enthusiast, Community Builder, and Storyteller whose passion for wine began in the grapevines of California’s Central Valley, working alongside her grandparents. What once felt like distant labor transformed into a deep appreciation when her husband introduced her to wine as a source of connection and joy. Noticing a lack of inclusive spaces for Latinas in the wine world, she founded Viña de Latinas, a vibrant community where Latinas can gather, share stories, and celebrate their identities through wine. It's more than wine, it's about comunidad, empowerment, and belonging. Learn more here.

Soft Launch – May 18, 2025

We kicked things off with a cozy, heartfelt gathering that confirmed what we already knew, Latinas are craving spaces where they can show up as their full selves, over a glass of wine and real conversation.

Social Pour – May 24, 2025

We joined Social Pour, an event hosted by EMLN, where we had the opportunity to connect with other Latinas, community members, and incredible wine vendors we love, including Dahlia Wines and Surcos Wines. It was a beautiful reminder of how collaboration and cultura go hand in hand.

We Stand with Immigrant Communities

At Viña de Latinas, we honor the hands behind the harvest. While the wine industry thrives on the labor of immigrant and Latino workers, too often these workers are overlooked, exploited, or actively targeted by policies that tear families apart.

We’re here to speak truth and to stand in solidarity.

“Latino and immigrant labor doesn’t just keep things running, it moves them forward. In 2022–2023 alone, Latino contributions added $3.6 trillion in GDP, making us the 5ᵗʰ largest economy in the world.

We don’t just contribute. We drive growth, sustain industries, and shape the future of this country.”

This is about more than numbers. It’s about visibility, dignity, and justice, especially in the face of ICE raids that continue to harm the very people who make our communities, our industries, and our futures possible.
